Chocolate Chip Cookies

Check out this Crisp and Chew Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from the one and only Martha Stewart. I tried it last week. Sooooo tasty!

A few tips…

* Make sure to slam the pan down on the counter because it really does help to have thinner cookies.

* It’s okay to use salted butter. I added 1 tsp instead of the 1-1/4 tsp.

* Fun to have ginormous cookies, but I could only get 3 or 4 on each pan.

* Really good frozen. 🙂

Here’s the recipe again:

Coronavirus

With all the unease going on right now, it’s so good to know that there is Hope. It’s been so amazing already to see how people who were arguing last week are coming together and looking out for one another.  We really all are in this together.

I know there’s lots of information out there about the Coronavirus. Today I found out about these two sites that will supposedly have the most up-to-date.

** google.com/Covid19

** The CDC

Hoping you are Social Distancing with loved ones.

Stay Safe!!

If You Buy a Fixer Upper

You can get a good deal on a fixer upper IF you’re willing to put in the work. Before you even think about it, you must do the research, get inspections and make sure you’re willing to put money into it.

During the inspection period, be aware of. such items as…

* Stuck windows and doors

* Sloping or sagging floors as well as exterior cracks

* Smell of moisture

Make sure to listen to the inspector and read the reports. It’s better to get as much information as you can before going through with the purchase. Ask questions!

Savings Savviness

Even though it seems that our economy is going up, which is GREAT, overall, we still are not saving. Just a reminder (to me too!) to start saving NOW. Find ways to cut back. Contact your cell phone company, insurance agent, utilities or refinance to see if there are better rates. Because you never know when something big may hit and we need a little extra…
